Tumblr

I've been blogging on and off for almost two years now and I've learned one thing from the entire experience...I'm not very good at it. Well, at least I'm not very good at making regular posts, which is one of the main ideas about blogging.  I do believe that I'd do better if it were a required part of my job, like running a corporate blog or a research blog, but as for a personal one, I just never find the time.
I come across a lot of stuff day-to-day that I find interesting, but never interesting enough to actually write a story about it. That is why I'm excited about my new tumblelog, http://mrcatto.tumblr.com/. A tumblelog basically aggregates all of your rss feeds from all over the web and places them on one page. In this way, my friends can keep up with my Digg stories, my flickr account, my MrCatto blog, or any other feeds I create. I also have the ability to quickly add bookmarks, quotes, and photos from websites I visit. I can also send my tumblelog text messages and picture messages from my phone.
I'm always excited about new technology and tend to dive in head first, but I guess only time will tell how much I actually use tumblr. Hopefully I'll put more effort into it than I do my current blog.
